A unique and challenging mix of uses allowed this project to depart from the traditional “classroom” program. The central and intimate presentation hall, originally conceived to host the UM Executive Lecture Series, is surrounded by generous open networking lounges to encourage collaboration and business development. All open public spaces are graced with expansive glass curtain walls, to provide prevalent daylight and views of adjacent landscape areas. The project was awarded LEED Gold in May of 2016, through create use of passive and active, strategies to conserve energy and natural resources.
